We are very fortunate to have our son Cooper enrolled at Fort Langley Childcare Society. From the first day we arrived, the caring and nurturing staff made us feel welcome. The educators create a fun and dynamic environment, where our son is not only interacting with his classmates, but in the outdoors, rain or shine. We also really appreciate the effort they make in involving the kids in the greater Fort Langley community, whether it is walking to Wendel's for lemonade in the summer, taking in story time at the Fort Langley library, or hanging out with their "Grandfriends" at Simpson Manor. There is no other place we would rather have our son than with the Fort Langley Childcare Society family. Blair
The Fort Langley Child Care Society has been like a second home to our two children for the past year-and-a-half. We feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon such exceptional care for our children. It is a true gem. When I drop them off at the centre in the morning, I am completely confident that they will have all of their needs met by the warm and knowledgeable staff. The director and her staff have developed a program that is so suited to the developmental needs of the age groups it serves. The preschool program is child-centred and teaches important, developmentally age-appropriate early learning concepts through a wide-range of activities that target a broad range of learning styles. Children are free to explore their interests, but always within an organized and supported structure. There is a strong focus on developing the social-emotional needs of early learners as children learn to problem-solve effectively with their peers with the guidance of the staff. The staff at the society are exceptionally warm and friendly and are always willing to take the time to talk to parents at pick-up and drop-off. They are well-trained in current strategies and interventions for supporting children and continually update their training in order to stay current with issues related to child development. The program also schedules a wide range of community-based field trips that add variety to their days. It is without hesitation that I would strongly recommend the Fort Langley Child Care Society to parents who are looking for exceptional care for their children. Anita
I cannot say enough about FLCCS. During our time with the daycare, our entire family fell in love with the staff and the Centre. Our daughter had many fears and challenges and the staff took her on with care and thoughtfulness, using all their professional know-how and personal heart to help her move forward. They were ready with updates whenever I called in which made those early days so much easier. I was always impressed with the strategic thought behind every activity; areas within the daycare space were always designed to minimize conflict and encourage positive play and learning experiences.
The staff were on top of every detail and I loved my day-before reminders of upcoming activities or theme days. It is the most amazing combination of professional and loving care a parent could dream of. I never worried when I dropped her off - I knew my daughter was in the best possible care.
When we moved to the Island, our biggest sadness was leaving FLCCS. We feel so lucky to have been there for the time we were and we know that FLCCS was a major positive turning point in the development of our beautiful girl. Thank you, FLCCS! Anne Marie
As a working parent, finding quality child care is one of the biggest stresses in life. I am so happy to have my son attend FLCCS. As a shy boy, He struggled at his old daycare and never wanted to go. Since attending FLCCS, he has blossomed into an outgoing, happy boy who loves going to "school". Olivia
Our son has been with FLCCS for the last two years. In this time we have seen terrific gains in his social development. The staff is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and their love for the children entrusted in their care is evident. Through their expertise in child development we were alerted to some delays in our son’s fine and gross motor skills. The staff worked with us quickly to make referrals to the appropriate professionals to have him assessed. As a result, we were able to access therapists through the Child Development Centre. We are thrilled to say he has almost caught up with his peers in these areas! I couldn't be happier with the Fort Langley Child Care Facility. I had heard great thing from friends and other moms about them so when it was time to enroll my son into daycare, it was An easy choice. My son LOVES the staff and looks forward to daycare days and the fun stuff they have in store for them every day. I was recommended by friends, and now I've recommended friends who are just as pleased with their child's care.
When my daughter with cerebral palsy had completed kindergarten, I enrolled her at FLCCS for the summer break with a little hesitation as she had always had separation and transition issues. To my surprise, she took to her teachers and the program very eagerly and my only complaint was her not wanting to go back to school in September because she would miss daycare so much! We've promised her she'll be back next summer and she looks forward to it.Lore |
